Matted for an 8×10 frame.

Stanford Mansion is a classic 20/10 cyanotype print on watercolor paper from a black and white negative. The photograph was taken with a Mamiya RB67 medium format camera in Sacramento, California.

Stanford Mansion was a two-story Sacramento home originally built in 1856-7 by gold rush merchant Shelton Fogus. The house was purchased by Leland Stanford in 1861 on the eve of his election to the California Governor’s Office. Stanford expanded the residence to 19,000 square feet, adding a Governor’s Office and two additional floors. The State of California purchased the property in 1998 and the property is now a California State Park.
