Subject/Title: Lucia painting self-portrait

Large Format cameras are not exactly suited for candids, but that isn’t to say they can’t manage. I set up my 4×5 the other day to take a shot of Lucia, who has set herself up in a corner of my studio to paint. I had to shoot with the lens wide open, so the depth of field is very shallow, and focus is on her in the painting, not her the painter. As it should be.
